Job Title: Junior Cost Accountant Start Date: 2026-07-23 - 2026-08-21 Vacancy Type: Permanent KZN000844 Sectors: Financial Services Location: KwaZulu Natal , Howick Salary: Brief: cost management controller|junior commercial analyst|junior commerical accountant|junior cost accountant|junior factory accountant|junior management accountant|junior plant accountant JUNIOR COST ACCOUNTANT KZN - HOWICK To support the costing, financial reporting, budgeting and control functions of a manufacturing operation, ensuring accurate product costing, variance analysis and financial information Detail: Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain product and standard costing. Prepare cost reports and analyse material and overhead cost variances. Identify and report abnormalities in overhead cost calculations. Assist with forecasting, budgeting and month-end reporting, including over- and under-recoveries. Assist with stock counts and the analysis of stock count variances. Support bi-annual asset verification processes. Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations. Assist with stock code creation and master data maintenance. Support internal and external audits and ensure adherence to internal controls, policies and accounting standards. Assist senior management with financial queries and ad hoc requests. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree or Advanced Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting. Understanding of standard, weighted average and activity-based costing methods. Strong Excel skills, including formulas and PivotTables. Understanding of ERP systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. show more... Apply
