This opportunity offers exposure to practical engineering projects, site inspections, design calculations and collaboration with experienced professionals in a consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with civil engineering design, calculations, modelling and technical analysis.
- Support the development of engineering designs and the application of appropriate civil design systems.
- Assist senior engineers with preparing tenders, proposals and technical submissions.
- Compile bills of quantities and contribute to project documentation.
- Participate in site visits, inspections and construction supervision under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Attend client meetings relating to tenders, project progress and technical matters.
- Contribute to the timely and accurate delivery of engineering outputs.
- Gain practical experience in dams, hydraulics and related infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- BSc or BEng degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years' postgraduate experience in dams or hydraulics.
- Basic engineering modelling skills.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and HEC-RAS.
- Willingness to participate in site visits and hands-on fieldwork.
- Ability to travel when required.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced engineers.
