International luxury fashion label is seeking to employ a junior brand manager to join their ever growing team.

Job Purpose The Junior Brand Manager supports the Brand Manager on the product, the stock and the trade of the Brand portfolio in South Africa. The mono-brand estate is the primary responsibility; the role also supports and oversees Brand product inside the multi-brand doors and on the e-commerce platform. It is a hands-on product and stock role: preparing the range and buy documentation, running allocation and replenishment across the estate, carrying the licensed-goods categories and the inbound shipping cycle from order to landing and invoice, and giving the Brand Manager the numbers behind every buying, pricing and markdown decision.

Responsibility: Key Responsibilities 1. Product, range and buying support. Prepares the range plans, option counts and buy sheets, maintains line lists and product data, tracks samples and the seasonal critical path, and helps build the buy presentation. Loads and checks new product so it trades correctly from day one. The buy and the collection edit remain the Brand Manager's. 2. Open-to-buy and intake administration. Maintains the open-to-buy tracker and records intake, repeats and cancellations against it. Administers orders with the principal and the warehouse — confirmations, delivery schedules, intake phasing, goods received and short deliveries — and keeps the seasonal calendar current. 3. Freight, shipping and inbound logistics. Liaises with the freight forwarder and the warehouse to collect and manage every inbound shipment: bookings and collections, clearing documentation, duty and landed-cost inputs, tracking through to the warehouse and confirming receipt against order. Escalates delays and communicates revised landing dates. 4. Pricing, costing and markdown administration. Prepares costings and price lists to the Brand Manager's direction, loads approved retails, and administers the promotional and markdown calendar, including price changes at store level and the checks that they were applied. Pricing and markdown sign-off sit with the Brand Manager. 5. Stock allocation and replenishment. Owns day-to-day allocation across the estate: allocates new intake by door, category, size and colour, replenishes best sellers, maintains size curves and store profiles, and raises and tracks inter-store transfers to keep the right product in the right door. 6. Stock health, ageing and clearance. Monitors cover, ageing, carryover and terminal stock by door and category. Flags risk early, prepares the consolidation, clearance and outlet exit lists, and tracks the result once actioned. 7. Licensed goods. Places and tracks orders with the licensees, manages and balances stock across the doors, and keeps the core ranges available in store. Ensures testers, samples and gift-with-purchase stock are ordered, recorded, sent to the correct doors and used for their intended purpose, with no leakage. Checks licensee invoices against orders and deliveries, submits them for payment and follows through until settled correctly and on time, with Finance on queries and credits. 8. Data, analysis and reporting. Produces the weekly and monthly trade, stock and allocation reporting, tracks sell-through, rate of sale, cover, density and ageing, keeps system data accurate, and turns the numbers into a recommendation. Supports the forecast; the targets remain the Brand Manager's. 9. Store performance and retail operations support. The day-to-day product contact for the stores: stock and product queries, stocktakes, transfers, returns to supplier and stock accuracy, and the product information store teams need to sell. Store discipline, standards and performance remain with Retail Operations and the Brand Manager. 10. Multi-brand and e-commerce support. Allocates, replenishes and reports on Armani product inside the multi-brand doors, and supports e-commerce with product data, imagery flow, stock availability and the replenishment of online best sellers. A support and oversight remit: the doors and the platform are not run by this role. 11. Brand, principal and marketing support. Supports principal reporting, seasonal submissions and brand administration, and gives Marketing the product information behind launches and in-store activity. The principal relationship, brand plan, and marketing strategy and budget sit with the Brand Manager and Marketing. Key Performance Metrics • Allocation and replenishment: accuracy against store profile and rate of sale, turnaround on replenishment and transfer requests, and availability of core lines by door. • Stock health and sell-through: cover, stock turn, ageing and terminal stock; sell-through by season, category and option against plan; delivery of the clearance and exit plan. • Licensed goods: availability of the core ranges, stock balance across the doors, control of testers, samples and gift-with-purchase, and licensee invoices submitted and paid correctly and on time. • Inbound shipments: landed on the agreed date, clearing documentation correct first time, no avoidable storage or demurrage cost, and receipts matched to order. • Reporting, data and operational accuracy: reporting on time and right first time; accurate product, price and stock data; transfer, goods received and stocktake accuracy; correct price changes in store. • Support channels and service: availability and stock accuracy in the multi-brand doors and online, and responsiveness to store, e-commerce and multi-brand queries.
