Our client, based in Constantia, is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Bookkeeper with at least 2 years' experience processing accounts up to Trial Balance. You will support the finance team with day-to-day bookkeeping, financial transactions, reconciliations, and debtors while ensuring accurate and timely financial records. Previous experience using Xero is essential. Detail: Requirements Matric (Grade 12) essential. Relevant Bookkeeping or Accounting qualification will be advantageous. Minimum 2 years' bookkeeping experience up to Trial Balance. Proven experience using Xero is essential. Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting processes. Experience with debtors, creditors and bank reconciliations. Strong numerical and analytical skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Immediately available to commence a contract position. Duties Process daily financial transactions accurately. Perform bookkeeping functions up to Trial Balance. Reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts and customer accounts. Process and reconcile debtors and creditors. Capture supplier invoices and customer receipts. Allocate payments and receipts accurately. Prepare and process journals where required. Assist with month-end procedures and reconciliations. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation. Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies. Prepare reports and schedules for management and auditors. Assist with VAT-related reconciliations where applicable. Support the finance team with general accounting and administrative duties. Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
