Job Title: Junior Bookkeeper Start Date: 2026-06-30 - 2026-07-31 Vacancy Type: Permanent JHB003162 Sectors: Accounts Location: Gauteng , JHB - Northern Suburbs Salary: (Market related) Brief: KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Processing of monthly invoices Reconciliation of travel agent commissions Daily checking of Bank statements for direct deposits to be distributed to Debtors/Reservations/Front Office. To process sundry payments via EFT. Cash book reconciliations. Processing of Journals given by the Financial Controller. Reconcile inter-company accounts. Monthly reconciliation of Petty cash and Floats Assisting in preparation of Month End Packs. Files documents in an accurate and orderly format. On occasion, would have to rotate jobs with the cashbook clerk/creditors clerk in order to have a full understanding of all departments. Assist with any Finance or accounting related requirements. Detail: Minimum Standard 10 (Grade 12), with the required experience to fulfil the full accounting functions of the Hotel up to Balance Sheet. Alternatively, appropriate levels of experience with a minimum of 5 (five) years related experience. Certificate or Diploma in Accounting will be an advantage. Computer literacy with a high level of proficiency on Computerised Accounting systems and Excel. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to stay structured and focused when working during peak accounting periods. Integrity and respectful at all levels of interaction.
