Position: B-BBEE Verification Analyst

Salary: R25 000 - R30 000

Job Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical B-BBEE Verification Analyst with at least one year of relevant experience to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with B-BBEE verification processes, review client documentation, analyse supporting evidence and ensure compliance with the applicable B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice and verification requirements.

  • Will be travelling a lot between PE / Cape Town & Johannesburg

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with B-BBEE verification assessments for clients across various industries
  • Collect, review and validate supporting documentation required for B-BBEE verification.
  • Analyse client information relating to ownership, management control, skills development, enterprise and supplier development, preferential procurement and socio-economic development.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of documents, calculations and supporting evidence.
  • Identify discrepancies, missing documentation and potential compliance risks.
  • Liaise with clients to request outstanding information and clarify documentation.
  • Capture and maintain accurate client records and verification working papers.
  • Assist with the preparation of verification reports, scorecards and supporting schedules.
  • Ensure that verification files are complete, properly organised and ready for review.
  • Keep up to date with relevant B-BBEE legislation, codes and amendments.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to internal quality assurance procedures and deadlines.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric certificate.
  • A relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Auditing or a related field will be advantageous.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in B-BBEE verification, B-BBEE consulting or a related compliance role .
  • Basic understanding of the B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice and scorecard elements.
  • Experience reviewing and validating supporting documentation.
  • Good numerical, analytical and administrative skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Familiarity with company financial statements, payroll records and supporting evidence used during verification.
  • Knowledge of SANAS accreditation requirements and verification procedures.
