Preventative Maintenance Department
Are you the person who spots the missing number, follows up on the outstanding PO, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks?
Our client is looking for a highly organised, detail-driven Junior Administrator to join their Preventative Maintenance Department in Benoni.
This is more than a typical administration role. You’ll work closely with customers and an operational maintenance team, using your Excel, numerical and organisational skills to keep scheduled maintenance work moving efficiently from planning through to completion.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Respond to customer queries and provide professional customer support.
- Obtain and follow up on Purchase Orders for scheduled preventative maintenance work.
- Create and maintain Job Cards using an automated Excel-based system.
- Check, verify and maintain customer and service documentation.
- Keep administrative records accurate, complete and up to date.
- Assist with coordinating and tracking scheduled maintenance activities.
- Provide general administrative support to the Preventative Maintenance Department.
- Take ownership of additional related administrative tasks when required.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant administration experience.
- Experience in a technical, engineering, service or maintenance environment will be highly advantageous.
- Previous exposure to a Technical Service or Maintenance environment.
- Advanced Excel skills – you should be comfortable working with automated spreadsheets and numerical data.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and customer communication skills.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Own reliable transport is essential.
