*Position:* Firearms Controller
*Employment Type:* Full-Time
Marshal Nights Security Services (Pty) Ltd is seeking a *competent, trustworthy and experienced Firearms Controller* to manage and oversee the company’s firearms and ammunition, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, SAPS requirements and company procedures.
### *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Manage and control all company firearms and ammunition.
* Ensure compliance with the *Firearms Control Act* and applicable SAPS requirements.
* Maintain accurate firearm registers, licences, permits and records.
* Manage the issuing and receiving of firearms.
* Ensure proper safekeeping, storage and transportation of firearms.
* Conduct regular firearm audits, inspections and reconciliations.
* Liaise with SAPS, service providers and internal departments.
* Report losses, damages, discrepancies and irregularities promptly.
* Maintain proper filing and documentation.
* Assist with firearm-related compliance audits and inspections.
### *MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS*
* Proven experience as a *Firearms Controller*, preferably within the security industry.
* Sound knowledge of the *Firearms Control Act* and applicable regulations.
* Relevant and valid *firearm competency certificates*.
* *PSIRA registration* will be advantageous.
* Clear criminal record.
* Strong administrative and record-keeping skills.
* Computer literate, particularly *MS Excel and MS Word*.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
