Experienced Lung Technologist – Tiervlei Trial Centre Location: Bellville, Cape Town Type: Full-time, permanent Tiervlei Trial Centre, a leading clinical research site in Cape Town, is looking for an experienced Lung (Pulmonary Function) Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting pulmonary function tests on clinical trial participants as well as assisting with patient recruitment for ongoing and upcoming studies. Duties will include: • Performing spirometry and other pulmonary/lung function tests according to study protocols and GCP standards • Ensuring accurate, quality-controlled data capture and equipment calibration • Assisting with screening, recruitment, and enrolment of trial participants • Explaining study procedures to prospective participants and supporting informed consent processes • Liaising with the study team, investigators, and sponsors as required • Maintaining accurate patient and trial documentation in line with regulatory requirements Requirements: • Registered Pulmonary Function/Lung Technologist (HPCSA registration required) • Minimum 2 years' relevant experience, ideally within a clinical trial or research environment • GCP (Good Clinical Practice) certification advantageous • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient-facing recruitment work • Good record-keeping and attention to detail • Own transport preferred If you meet the above requirements and are interested in joining a dynamic clinical research team, please send your CV to jheyns@absamail.co.za.
