Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Duties

• Reviewing production schedules, processes, specifications, and related information.

• Designing production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.

• Developing and implementing process improvements and technological upgrades.

• Designing control systems to minimize costs and production issues.

• Developing design and production standards in cooperation with management and user personnel.

• Preparing material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses, and estimated production costs.

• Managing process documentation and preparing production reports.

• Responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time and of high quality.

• Responsible for the creation, implementation, and maintenance of workflow processes and other digital stack modules.

Competencies

• Effective handling of detailed information and consistent attention to detail

• Designing the layout of facilities and determining personnel requirements.

• Training staff for new processes and providing instructions and manuals.

• Providing onsite training and documentation in support of training.

• Maintain an effective performance level under pressure

• Systematically organize activities and set time frames and priorities

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written in Afrikaans and English)

• Must be able to perform calculations and prepare detailed reports.

• Must be able to do engineering drawings & sketches

• Operate Microsoft Office programs

• Must be a team player

• Must be able to work with little supervision and track multiple processes

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Diploma or Degree in Industrial Engineering.

• Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.

• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.

• Have a passion for fruit production.

• Be willing to travel frequently and to relocate.

• Be willing to work longer hours.

• Be able to think on their feet.

• Be very organized.

• Be able to use initiative.

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Be eager to learn.

• Must have valid Driver’s Licence – own transportation a plus.
