Java Developer

Our client is seeking a motivated Java Developer to join their technology team. The successful candidate will assist with designing, developing, testing, and maintaining reliable Java-based applications and services. This role is suited to a junior to intermediate developer who enjoys problem-solving, writing clean code, and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.

Education: ·         BSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred ·         Honours degree advantageous ·         Relevant Java development certifications or demonstrable project experience advantageous

Experience: ·         Junior to intermediate experience in Java software development ·         Experience developing or maintaining applications using Java ·         Exposure to REST APIs, databases, and version control ·         Exposure to Agile development and software testing advantageous

Key Requirements ·         Good understanding of object-oriented programming and core Java concepts ·         Knowledge of Spring or Spring Boot advantageous ·         Understanding of RESTful services and API integration ·         Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases ·         Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows ·         Ability to write readable, maintainable, and well-tested code ·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ·         Good communication skills and a collaborative approach ·         Willingness to learn, take feedback, and contribute to team delivery
