Duties & Responsibilities

Job Description: As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining robust software solutions within collaborative and high-performing development teams. Depending on the opportunity, responsibilities may include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications

• Building scalable APIs, microservices, and distributed systems

• Collaborating with Product, QA, DevOps, and Software Engineering teams

• Writing clean, maintainable, and high-quality code

• Participating in architecture discussions and technical decision-making

• Contributing to code reviews and engineering best practices

• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical challenges

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and modern development practices

Skills & Experience

• Commercial experience in Java development

• Strong knowledge of Java and Spring / Spring Boot

• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP advantageous

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile methodologies

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Experience working within collaborative development teams

• Passion for software engineering and continuous learning

Qualification

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
