We’re looking for a seasoned Java Developer who knows how to design, build, and deliver robust, scalable backend systems in modern cloud environments. If you thrive in complexity, enjoy clean architecture, and want to influence real production systems at scale — this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build high-performance backend systems and microservices
- Develop and optimise APIs, integrations, and distributed systems
- Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions
- Drive code quality, testing, and best practices
- Work across cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and modern DevOps pipelines
- Mentor developers and contribute to a high-performing engineering culture
- Identify, solve, and prevent scaling and performance challenges
Tech You’ll Use
- Java (core focus), Spring Boot
- REST/SOAP APIs, Apache Camel, ActiveMQ
- Databases: MySQL, Redis
- Containers: Docker
- Cloud: AWS, GCP
- CI/CD: GitHub, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Spinnaker
What You Bring (Essential)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years Java development (7+ years preferred)
- Strong experience building scalable, production-grade applications
- Deep understanding of software architecture and system design
- Experience with microservices and API-driven systems
- Hands-on exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)
- Solid experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
