Job Title: IT Technician Start Date: 2026-08-26 - 2026-09-22 Vacancy Type: Permanent PTA001103 Sectors: Legal Services Location: Western Cape , Cape Town Salary: R 30000 - R 37000 Brief: Our client is looking for an IT Technician to join their team in Cape Town Detail: Roles and Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and peripherals Troubleshoot hardware, software, Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 issues Provide professional support to senior stakeholders, including directors and lawyers Manage the full endpoint lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding Administer Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP Support Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive Provide iManage/FileSite user support Assist with Intune and endpoint management Troubleshoot VPN, Wi-Fi and LAN/WAN connectivity Perform workstation builds, rebuilds and lifecycle replacements Maintain endpoint security, patching and access controls Assist with user access reviews, cybersecurity awareness and offboarding Maintain accurate ticket notes, documentation and asset records Liaise with vendors regarding repairs, warranties and escalations Participate in after-hours/weekend standby when required Support IT operations across the Western Cape Requirements Grade 12 2–4+ years' experience in a corporate IT support environment Professional services or legal-sector IT experience advantageous Strong Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 experience Experience with Windows Server, Hyper-V and VMware Solid understanding of AD, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and SMTP Experience with Teams, SharePoint, Exchange and Exchange Online Knowledge of LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi and VPN technologies Knowledge of endpoint security and patch management Working knowledge of SQL Relevant IT certifications such as Microsoft or CompTIA advantageous Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport essential Willingness to travel between offices Competencies Friendly, professional and service-oriented Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent attention to detail Able to work independently and under pressure Strong organisational and prioritisation skills Fast response time and effective problem-solving ability Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities Willingness to learn and find solutions independently High level of confidentiality and professionalism Employment Details Employment Type: Permanent Employment Industry: Legal Services Work space preference: Work Onsite Ideal work province: Western Cape Ideal work city: Cape Town Salary bracket: R 30000 - 37000 Drivers License: CODE B (Car) Own car needed: Yes show more...
