We are seeking an experience and competent IT Service Manager to be based in Umhlanga, Durban. AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY . This person will oversee the daily operations, performance, and continuous improvement of IT support and infrastructure services to ensure they meet business goals and agreed-upon service levels.
Duties & Responsibilities
Service Level Management: Own and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for response times, resolution rates, and system availability.
Incident & Problem Management: Act as the primary escalation point for major operational incidents, driving root cause analysis and reducing recurring issues.
Process Governance: Standardize and implement IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks like ITIL for incident, change, and request management.
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and schedule support analysts or cross-functional technical teams to foster a customer-centric culture.
Stakeholder & Vendor Communication: Serve as the bridge between technical teams, business units, and external third-party vendors.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent.
ITIL Foundation certification (mandatory or strongly preferred)
Experience/Criteria
5 to 8 years in IT service management, helpdesk leadership, or IT operations.
Framework Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of ITIL (Foundation or Managing Professional).
Technical Understanding: Familiarity with end-user computing, Microsoft 365, cloud services, and core network or infrastructure environments.
Package & Remuneration
R35 – R45,000 per month
