IT Security and Infrastructure Manager (Fully Office Based)

Large, Dynamic, Import and Distribution Company of Thousands of Automotive Parts, with Sites throughout Southern Africa, is looking for a sharp, proactive IT Security and Infrastructure Manager to lead the evolution and defence of its Digital Ecosystem, and ensure its Technological Advantage, Infrastructure Optimisation, Future Proofing and Cohesive Systems Architecture

In this Pivotal Role, you will be the Guardian of all Infrastructure Networks and Data across multiple Business Areas, so experience in dealing with the broader Company and Divisional Level Strategy, ensuring the Value Chain Integration and the Companies Technological Transformation is absolutely key! You won't just keep the lights on; you and your Team of 3 will design, configure, and maintain a highly secure, resilient Network Environment, capable of resisting Modern Cyber Threats and optimising IT advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

• Security Perimeter Defences: architect, configure, monitor, and continuously harden Next-Gen Firewalls (NGFW), VPNs, secure Routing/Switching, and Network Segmentation Protocols

• Infrastructure Management: oversee the Enterprise Physical, Virtualized, and Cloud Server Topologies, ensuring maximum Uptime, System Performance, and Baseline Standardization

• Hardware Management: includes IT Infrastructure including Networks, Servers, Cloud Environments, Connectivity, End-User Devices, Telecommunications and Related Technology

• Threat and Incident Management: own the Vulnerability Scanning Lifecycle, Patch Management, Endpoint Protection, and rapid resolution of Active Security Alerts

• Identity and Access Control: direct Structural Configuration of Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and strict conditional access

• Budget Management: includes Expenditure against Budget, Forecasting, Cost per User, Cost Savings, Vendor and Licensing Cost Optimisation

• Resilience and Compliance: enforce Business Continuity Plans, rigorous Automated Backup Testing, Disaster Recovery Protocols, and alignment with Regulatory Frameworks like POPIA/GDPR

• Team Leadership: mentor, lead, and upskill the Infrastructure Support Team of 3 Staff Members, fostering a highly collaborative, efficient, and proactive, Security-Aware Culture

Desired Experience & Qualification

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• Relevant Degree at NQF Level 7 or 8 essential

• Experience: at least 7-10 years of hands-on Technical Infrastructure and Security Leadership

• Firewall and Networking Mastery: deep experience administering Enterprise Network Security Stacks

• Cloud and Modern Infrastructure: proven background handling Virtual Environments, Server Administration, and Secure Cloud Architectures across multiple Business Areas

• IT and Hardware Management: Budget Control, ROI on major IT Investments and IT Asset Management

• Problem Solver: calm under pressure during a High-Stakes Infrastructure Incident, with a focus on Root Cause Analysis and quick, efficient turnaround time to ensure Business continuation

• Communication: able to translate deep Technical Vulnerabilities into understandable Risk Metrics for Senior Management Stakeholders

R1.2 million CTC – R850 000 CTC plus Incentive Bonus
