Technical Requirements
- Basic computer literacy may be required for online or digital assessments
- Ability to complete simple written reports e.g., incident logs
Key Responsibilities
- Arrive at least and hour before the scheduled assessment time.
- Collect assessment pack at the designated point
- Set up the examination venue in accordance with guidelines:
- There should be at least one seating space open between candidates
- Display the following information on the board:
- Date and Time
- Programme and Module
- Start and end times together with reading time
- Check the number of scripts and answer booklets against the attendance register
- Upon entry, students will need to provide a photo identification document
- Ensure all candidates are seated according to the seating plan
- Distribute and collect exam papers/materials
- Read assessment rules and special instructions clearly to candidates at the start of the exam
- Monitor candidates throughout the exam to prevent misconduct
- Manage late arrivals, early leavers and toilet breaks appropriately
- Handle incidents e.g., illness, cheating and queries and report to relevant staff
- Always maintain exam integrity and confidentiality
- Complete necessary documentation and reconcile scripts and answer booklets complete attendance registers, invigilator reports and incident reports where applicable
- Sign documents before handing over
