Job summary

The Investment Operations Analyst will be responsible for supporting the investment operations team by ensuring the smooth operation of investment processes, managing data, and providing analytical support. It is recognised that the individual will not have a lot of experience, but is willing and able to learn about investment operations, and wider investment consulting as well

Responsibilities

·       Trade Support: Ensure accurate and timely processing of transitions, manager switches and trades, including implementing derivatives structures

·       Reconciliation: Perform reconciliations of accounts, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved promptly.

·       Review of reports: reviewing investment manager valuation statements and Statement Ms

·       Data Management: Maintain and update investment databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

·       Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular reports on portfolio performance, risk metrics, and other key indicators.

·       Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

·       Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

·       General operations: Assist the Investment Operations team on ad-hoc day-to-day operational matters

Candidate requirements

• Some understanding of the workings of asset managers or investment administrator back-office

• Some understanding of the processes needed to be followed to implement transitions, investment manager switches and the trading of securities

• Process-driven

• 1 - 5 years’ experience in a role that involved investment operations/administration

• High attention to detail

• Numerate

• Good written skills

• Good communication skills

• Undergraduate degree (Finance, Management, Investment, Business, Risk etc)

• High competence with Excel

• Experience with Refinitiv would be beneficial
