- Originating and developing client relationships across telecom operators, infrastructure owners and financial sponsors active in the sector.
- Preparing pitch materials, sector thought pieces and business development presentations tailored to telecommunications and digital infrastructure themes.
- Screening prospective clients and evaluating new M&A and capital raising mandate opportunities within the sector.
- Negotiating and securing new advisory mandates.
- Building and reviewing financial and valuation models, including sector-specific approaches such as tower and fibre cash-flow analysis, tenancy and lease-up assumptions, and infrastructure-style returns.
- Preparing information memoranda, teasers and other transaction marketing materials.
- Supporting negotiations on behalf of clients and coordinating closely with legal, technical and regulatory advisers throughout transaction execution.
- Managing transactions from origination through to completion, including M&A and equity and debt capital raisings.
- Maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients and specialist telecom and infrastructure investors.
- Collaborating closely with colleagues across company`s IMAP's regional offices.
- Contributing to firm-wide business development and telecommunications sector coverage initiatives.
- Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team.
- The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the growth of the firm's telecommunications franchise and to broader business development initiatives.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of investment banking or corporate finance experience and must have prior transaction experience within the telecommunications, digital infrastructure or TMT sector. The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong technical capabilities across financial analysis, valuation and transaction structuring, combined with a working understanding of telecom-specific metrics and how infrastructure, operating and digital assets are valued.
- A proven ability to build relationships with corporate clients, financial sponsors and infrastructure investors, and to originate and execute mandates.
- Familiarity with the deal types relevant to the sector, including M&A, equity capital raising and debt and infrastructure financing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working alongside colleagues across the firm's regional offices.
Strong skills using technology.
- Experience within an investment bank, corporate finance advisory, private equity or infrastructure fund, with sector exposure to telecommunications, towers, fibre, data centres or digital infrastructure considered a strong advantage.
