Start free — we apply for you →Purpose of the Role: The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Investigator to conduct regulatory and forensic investigations within the financial services sector. The successful candidate will manage investigations from assessment to enforcement, gather and analyse evidence, prepare investigation reports and regulatory documentation, support enforcement actions, and provide guidance to Assistant Investigators and Forensic Analysts. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager: Enforcement. Key Performance Areas: •Conduct investigations in accordance with applicable legislation, policies, and procedures, including evidence gathering, analysis, interviews, affidavits, and search-and-seizure operations where required. •Assess complaints, referrals, and intelligence, and develop appropriate investigation plans and strategies. •Draft investigation reports, affidavits, submissions, memoranda, correspondence, and other regulatory documentation. •Prepare and present matters to enforcement committees and other decision-making structures, and support the implementation of enforcement actions. •Provide guidance and technical support to Assistant Investigators and Forensic Analysts. •Manage investigations within prescribed timeframes and performance targets. •Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with governance, confidentiality, and record-keeping requirements. •Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance investigation quality and operational efficiency. Key Attributes: The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent interviewing, analytical, and report-writing skills, together with professionalism, integrity, sound judgement, and the ability to perform duties independently, impartially, and objectively.
