Inventory / Dispatch Administrator - New Germany, Durban (Relocating to Springfield Park) - Salary: R16 000 – R17 000 CTC per month (Inclusive of Provident Fund)

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory / Dispatch Administrator for a newly created role within an established warehouse team. This role plays a critical part in aligning order fulfillment, controlling inventory accuracy, optimizing transport routes, and managing daily dispatch execution to ensure accurate and on-time customer deliveries.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Stock & Backorder Control: Actively track backorders, verify stock availability prior to allocation, and maintain physical-to-system inventory alignment.
  • Trip Planning & Route Optimization: Prepare trip sheets using Syspro, optimize delivery routes, consolidate loads based on Next Delivery Dates (NDDs), and adhere to maximum vehicle weight capacities.
  • Dispatch & Documentation: Close pick slips accurately, generate invoices and delivery notes, and ensure all daily sales orders are closed by cut-off times.
  • 3PL & Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with 3PL transport providers to schedule and execute deliveries, while updating internal sales teams on potential delays.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Run and validate DOTIF (Delivered On Time In Full) reports and maintain meticulous physical and digital filing systems.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Grade 12 / Matric is essential (Supply Chain/Logistics qualifications are advantageous).
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Dispatch, Transport Operations, or Stock Control within a warehousing environment.
  • Systems: Hands-on experience with Syspro or a similar ERP system is essential.
  • Licence & Transport: Valid Driver’s Licence (Code 08) and reliable own transport are essential due to overtime requirements and operational hours.
  • Skills: Strong stock control proficiency, trip planning expertise, high numerical accuracy, and effective communication skills.

Work Hours & Operational Details

  • Standard Hours: Monday – Thursday (07h30 – 16h15) | Friday (07h30 – 15h00).
  • Overtime: Operational flexibility is required for overtime when necessary.
  • Location: Currently based in New Germany, with a planned move to Springfield Park in the coming months.
