The Opportunity You will manage inventory and warehouse activities across the business, ensuring that stock records remain accurate, imported materials are properly coordinated, and operational teams consistently follow established processes. The successful individual will be expected to investigate discrepancies, resolve operational issues, and maintain firm control over stock movements, warehouse procedures, and staff performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and control inventory across the warehouse and operational functions.
  • Oversee cycle counts, bin locations, part numbers, and stock verification processes.
  • Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and ensure alignment between physical and system quantities.
  • Coordinate imports and ensure compliance with customs requirements.
  • Manage inbound, storage, picking, dispatch, and logistics activities.
  • Drive stock accuracy, inventory visibility, and efficient warehouse utilisation.
  • Lead and manage warehouse and inventory staff.
  • Address conflict, poor performance, and non-adherence to operational procedures.
  • Maintain strong process control, operational discipline, and accountability.
  • Work cross-functionally with Procurement, Finance, Sales, Operations, and Logistics teams.
  • Prepare inventory reports and provide management with accurate operational insights.

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management, Procurement, or a related field.
  • BTech qualification advantageous.
  • 45 years experience in Inventory Management or Stock Control.
  • 12 years team leadership or management experience.
  • Previous exposure to the pneumatic or hydraulic industry is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing imports, customs documentation, and logistics processes.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse controls and inventory management principles.

Technical Requirement

  • Syspro experience is essential.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting capability.
  • Comfortable analysing inventory data, discrepancies, and operational trends.
