About the YES Initiative The President launched the initiative in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labor department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa's youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months. Position: Control Room Operator Stipend: R7000.00 Location: Lonehill (Sandton) Detail: Responsibilities: Monitor and operate weighbridge automation systems and software to ensure that client requests are being responded to promptly and effectively. Provide 24/7 remote support to clients, including responding to technical issues and providing guidance on system operation. Document client requests and issue resolution in the control room system, ensuring that all relevant information is recorded accurately and completely. Collaborate with other control room operators and the Control Room Supervisor to ensure that all systems and software are functioning correctly and that all client requests are being responded to promptly and effectively. Follow safety and security protocols to maintain a safe and secure working environment. Monitoring & reporting of the organisations fleet vehicles locations daily at 07:00. Monitoring & reporting of site data & facilitating replenishment of said data bundles on a per site basis. Requirements: South African unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34 Must not have participated on the YES programme before A Diploma or Certificate in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Basic computer and software knowledge (especially for remote support and monitoring). Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and assist clients. Skills required: Good communication skills to log and report client issues. Able to work 24/7 shifts and handle pressure. Understanding of safety rules in a control room.
