Start free — we apply for you →Job Title: Internal Sales Administrator - Plastics / Packaging - East Rand Start Date: 2026-07-07 - 2026-08-06 Vacancy Type: Permanent PS010699 Sectors: Admin, Office & Support Sales and Marketing Location: Gauteng , Gauteng Salary: (Market related, Negotiable) Brief: east rand|internal sales administrator|packaging|plastics|sales|sales administrator A well-known, established plastics/packaging group requires the above to provide sales administration, customer service and operational support, assisting the Head of Internal Sales by managing customer enquiries, quotations, order processing and customer accounts while coordinating with internal departments to ensure the timely delivery of products and exceptional customer satisfaction. Detail: Minimum requirements for the role: Previous experience having worked in an internal sales administrative role is essential for the role. Previous experience having worked in an Internal Sales Administration role within the manufacturing or related environment is preferred but not essential. The company is happy to look at any candidates from any industry as long as they have had Internal sales experience. The successful candidate must have attention to detail and be highly organised as well as be driven and able to take ownership. The successful candidate must have good Excel spreadsheet skills. Previous experience working on Syspro or any other ERP system is preferred but not essential as the company is happy to train the person\ on their system. The successful candidate should be customer orientated, passionate and dedicated to working with customers. Must be a team player and be able to work independently, but also in a team. The candidate should have good communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Providing sales administration, customer service and operational support, assisting the Head of Internal Sales by managing customer enquiries, quotations, order processing and customer accounts while coordinating with internal departments to ensure the timely delivery of products and exceptional customer satisfaction. Providing commercial and operational support to the manufacturing and sales teams by coordinating and liaising with customers and internal colleagues in different departments. Receiving, processing and monitoring customer orders and manufacturing orders. Capturing sales orders and following up on deliveries to customers. Keeping track of customer stock requirements. Liaising and assisting customers with orders, back-order queries and following up, both on email and telephonically. Liaising with operations and planning department to track client order completion. Liaising with customers and external sales representatives on a daily basis to update them on the progress of orders and to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled. Liaising with production planning and warehousing regarding any queries and costing on products related to stock holding. Ensuring that all customer complaints, issues and queries reach a successful and appropriate conclusion, including account queries. Promote MCG's product offering to existing and prospective customers. Assist in achieving departmental sales objectives through proactive customer engagement and account management. Provide market feedback and customer insights to management. Liaise with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Logistics, Finance and Operations to ensure customer requirements are achieved. Monitor order progress and communicate production updates to customers. Assist in resolving operational issues affecting customer deliveries and service levels. Maintain accurate CRM records, sales reports, customer activity reports and KPI information. Prepare management reports as required. Maintain organised filing systems and departmental records.
