- Grade 12 National Senior Certificate. National Diploma in Safety Management NQF Level 6. SAMTRAC Certificate.
- Code 8 Driver's licence. Computer Literacy – MS Office
- Applications. A valid registration with Professional Body will be an added advantage.

- Experience : 2 to 3 years relevant experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates the implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting sequences of outcomes associated with Building Safety.
- Co-ordination of operations associated with the enforcement of policies, procedures and practices dictating health and safety in the municipality
- To ensure the risk of damage to municipal property and/ or injuries and loss of lives is limited through prompt and efficient execution of safety sequences and applications
- Communicating with the supervisor on specific Key Performance Areas Accident prevention & Loss control measures with a view to aligning functions/ objectives against the capacity and capability of the Section.
- Inspecting work sites and/ or conducting observations of work sequences and determining extent of safety awareness and/ or the need for corrective/ remedial measures.
- Conducting demonstrations and/ or communication staff briefings with a view to empowering and capacitating employees with basic safety and awareness skills to identify and capably manage threatening situations.
- Coordinating emergency planning and evacuation of Municipal Buildings and work areas.
- Preparing reports and participating in various meetings Health and Safety Committees, internal departments and external forums and provides comments/ opinions on matters affecting or concerning the functionality.
- Compiling statistical returns required from departments, in keeping with legal requirements and returns necessary for Government Departments Department of Labour, and collating, analyzing and interpreting statistics using specialized knowledge.
