- A minimum of honours degree NQF 8 in Internal Auditing/Accounting /Auditing; attach transcript
- New entrants into audit and risk management environment in other words you must not have worked or held an audit and risk management internship before
- Knowledge of audit and risk management softwares, ITS, Blackboard etc will be an advantage
- Computer Literate: MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access/Database, Internet, email, etc
- Willingness to learn audit and risk management
- Ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
- Must be a South African citizen
DUTIES
- Assist in the development of the annual audit plan
- Assist in conducting internal audits for the university, including making arrangements for audits, conducting entrance and exit conferences, preparing and maintaining files of work papers, and preparing audit findings and reports.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and identify risks in the functions being audited
- Assist in Report on expenditure
- Contribute to the overall development of SMU and actively improve institutional culture
- Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager
