The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and resolving technical faults on household appliances, while providing high-quality technical support and service to internal and external customers. The role requires strong electrical fault-finding capabilities, customer service skills, and the ability to work with electronic, microprocessor-controlled, and IoT-enabled appliance systems. Key Responsibilities Appliance Repair & Technical Support Diagnose and repair household appliances by analysing electrical circuitry and applying effective fault-finding and testing techniques. Accurately identify faults and implement appropriate repairs on appliances. Provide knowledgeable, professional, and courteous technical service to customers. Ensure customer needs are correctly addressed and faulty products are accurately assessed and resolved. Provide technical support for customer-related queries and service requirements. Assist with urgent technical matters outside normal working hours and on weekends when required. Service Administration & Call Management Complete all required administration throughout the service process. Monitor and resolve open service calls and follow up on outstanding spare parts. Ensure service calls are progressed and closed efficiently. Assist with resolving regional service calls and technical queries. Maintain accurate records relating to repairs, service calls, and technical interventions. Technical Training & Stakeholder Support Train call centre staff on fault diagnosis and accurate fault descriptions for job cards. Provide technical and installation training to contractors and installers. Assist contractors and installers with technical queries and troubleshooting. Communicate with international technical teams regarding local product failures where required. Parts & Stock Management Ensure all returned stock is repaired, assessed, and graded appropriately for B-stock sales within the required timeframe. Assist the Spare Parts division with technical requirements when needed. Continuous Improvement & Performance Identify opportunities to improve business performance and enhance the customer experience. Contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing service costs. Work towards achieving divisional and company KPIs. Perform additional technical and operational duties as required. Detail: Role Requirements Qualifications Qualified Trade Tested Electrician. Experience Proven electrical repair and fault-finding experience. Experience diagnosing and repairing household appliances will be advantageous. Experience working with electronic or microprocessor-controlled systems will be advantageous. Technical Skills Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams. Understanding of microprocessor-controlled systems and IoT technology. Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability. Computer literacy.
