Intern Graphic Designer

Introduction

CORPORATE RELATIONS DIVISION, INTERN GRAPHIC DESIGNER – 6 MONTHS, CORPORATE RELATIONS. Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with the conceptualisation and design of marketing and communication materials. • Develop digital and print-ready artwork in line with the University's brand standards. • Assist with social media graphics, campaign materials and promotional content. • Support photography, videography and multimedia projects where required. • Contribute to the preparation of event, publication and advertising materials. • Assist with maintaining design archives and digital assets. • Perform related duties as required by the Graphic Design Unit. Desired Experience & Qualification

• A National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or a related field. • Sound knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop). • Practical working knowledge of Mac-based design environments. • A portfolio demonstrating graphic design, layout, branding and digital content development skills. • Good communication, organisational and time-management skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Advantageous

• Previous internship or in-service training, freelance, voluntary or project-based graphic design experience. • Experience producing content for digital and social media platforms. • Basic photography, videography and motion graphics skills.
