FutureSoft is the Leader in the South African Debt Recovery Software Industry.
Our software is the Legal and Debt Collection Management System of choice by numerous Law Firms, Banks and Debt Collection Agencies across South Africa.
We are seeking an Intermediate Software Developer with strong C# development skills and experience in modern web technologies. The role involves working within an MVC architecture, developing Razor pages, writing JavaScript, working with React JS and creating secure REST API integrations. The sucessful candidate will also work on projects involving OAuth authentication and will have opportunities to explore and integrate locally hosted AI technologies into our services.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and enhance applications using C# in an ASP.NET MVC enviornment.
- Build and maintain Razor pages and front-end interactivity using JavaScript and React JS .
- Design, implement and maintain REST API integrations with a strong focus on security and performance.
- Implement authentication and authorization flows using OAuth .
- Utilize Visual Studio or JetBrains Rider as the primary development environment.
- Work with GitHub for source control while assisting in migrating projects from SVN to GitHub.
- Leverage GitHub Copilot to improve productivity and code quality.
- Design and maintain solutions integrating with Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Collaborate with the team to integrate locally hosted AI technologies and APIs into our software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging and deployment processes.
- Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code.
Desired Skills and Experience
Required Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years professional software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of C# and ASP.NET MVC.
- Experience with Razor views/pages and JavaScript.
- Experience developing front-end applications using React JS .
- Proven ability to design and consume REST APIs.
- Experience implementing OAuth or similar authentication protocols.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server .
- Familiarity with GitHub and/or SVN source control.
- Comfortable working in Visual Studio or JetBrains Rider.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code.
Desirable / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Docker containerization.
- Knowledge of Linux enviornments.
- Exposure to locally hosted AI technologies or willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of microservices architecture.
Must have a valid driver's licence.
