Intermediate React/Node Software Developer

A leading software development company is looking for an Intermediate Software Developer to join its project team.

This is an opportunity for an experienced developer to take ownership of software solutions from research and design through to development and implementation, while working collaboratively within a high-performing project environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Participate actively in sprint planning, reviews and retrospective sessions, providing clear and constructive feedback.

• Contribute effectively to daily stand-ups and proactively identify and escalate challenges.

• Work closely with the Project Manager, Head of Project Management and project team to understand and deliver project requirements.

• Assist with the design and development of technical solutions aligned to project requirements.

• Plan and manage your workload effectively to meet project deadlines and delivery expectations.

• Provide technical guidance and support to team members where required.

• Accurately estimate and assign story points based on task complexity and effort.

• Maintain accurate sprint tickets with meaningful updates, feedback and insights.

• Research, design, develop and implement new software solutions as part of a project team.

• Be proficient in at least two relevant programming technologies.

• Independently develop and implement moderately complex software features.

• Apply sound software development principles and maintain a high standard of code quality.

• Understand database management and work effectively with databases.

• Write and maintain effective automated/unit tests.

• Understand and apply CI/CD concepts within the software development lifecycle.

• Participate in technical discussions and contribute practical solutions to development challenges.

• Integrate software with third-party systems and existing software platforms.

• Provide technical assistance to other developers based on your area of expertise.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and graduates.

• Demonstrate increasing technical ownership and accountability across assigned projects.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• 2–4 years of relevant software development experience.

• Proficiency in at least two relevant software development technologies.

• Experience developing moderately complex software features independently.

• Understanding of database management.

• Experience writing software tests.

• Understanding of CI/CD concepts.

• Experience integrating software with third-party systems or existing applications.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work effectively within an Agile/project-based environment.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to take ownership of tasks while supporting and mentoring less experienced team members.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
