• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or an equivalent NQF7 qualification • A project management qualification • Solid knowledge of the project management discipline • A minimum of five to eight years' experience in Project/Programme management • Banking | financial services experience Responsibilities Prepare for Projects
• Clarify and agree to the programme priorities, activities, and resources with the business and respective stakeholders • Assess the project impact and readiness for project initiative and identify key barriers • Develop project management plans (e.g. stakeholders management, training, coaching, communications and resistance management) • Develop project management material and content with the assistance of the appropriate specialists • Engage with stakeholders to obtain buy-in to the project initiative • Incorporate successful project management solutions from other initiatives into project plans Execute the Projects
• Promote the need for and benefits of project management as part of the project initiative • Drive the development and delivery of business cases for the programme • Prepare the business cases and submissions to the respective governance committees for investment approval • Selects appropriate pilot sites and tests project management plan/activities at pilot site to ensure appropriateness for further role out in the business unit • Execute project management plan in line with project initiative scope and budget • Execute specific activities with allocated resources to achieve project management plan • Manage the impact of the project initiative at business unit level • Provide feedback to stakeholders on project initiative progress and risks • Facilitate the resolution of resistance and barriers to the project initiative • Implement the project • Ensure effective transfer of ownership of the project to business and support areas • Assist the business to "own" the project initiative and commit to its reinforcement • Evaluate project initiative through post implementation review • Accept responsibility for the measurement of benefits realisation for project initiative Project Management
• Project manage the project management plan • Proactively identify issues and risks (conscience of the project), provide feedback to management • Manage project management activities in line with other initiative components (e.g. technology and process) • Continually review and revise project management staffing, timelines and scope • Assign and manage the outputs of project management consultants assigned to the project Administration
