Intermediate .NET Developer (SQL AND C#)

Durbanville, Cape Town (Hybrid)

Salary: ±R60 000

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced .NET Developer who enjoys solving real business problems and building high-quality software. You'll take ownership of features from design through deployment, contribute to technical decisions, mentor junior developers, and work within a collaborative Agile team focused on clean code and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

Develop and maintain C#/.NET applications

Build REST APIs and scalable backend services

Design and optimise SQL Server databases and queries

Translate business requirements into technical solutions

Own features through design, development, deployment and support

Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews

Mentor junior developers

Troubleshoot production issues and improve system performance

Work in an Agile environment using Azure DevOps

Requirements

5–7 years' experience with C#/.NET

Strong SQL Server experience (queries, indexing, stored

procedures)

Experience building REST APIs and backend services

Solid understanding of OOP, SOLID principles and design patterns

Git and Azure DevOps (or similar CI/CD tools)

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Able to work independently and collaboratively

Advantageous

ASP.NET Core, MVC, Entity Framework

Azure and cloud-hosted applications

Docker, Microservices and CI/CD

Angular, React or VueUnit & integration testing

POS or transactional systems
