Intermediate Java Developer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Intermediate Software Engineer to join our growing technology team. This role is ideal for a well-rounded developer with strong back-end and full-stack development experience who enjoys building high-quality software solutions and collaborating within a dynamic team environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications while contributing to the continuous improvement of our technology landscape. Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications.

• Build and enhance back-end services and APIs.

• Participate in full software development lifecycle activities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.

• Support the deployment and ongoing optimisation of software solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4 to 7 years of solid software development experience.

• Strong experience with at least one of the following technologies:

• Java

• Node.js

• TypeScript

• Python

• Experience in back-end and/or full-stack development.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative development environment.

Advantageous Skills

The following experience will be beneficial

• Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• RESTful API design and development

• Version control using Git

• Relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL

• Cloud-native application development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.

• Java Certification will be advantageous.

• AWS Certification will be advantageous.
