An exciting opportunity exists for an Intermediate Java Developer to join a major BSS modernisation programme at a leading telecommunications operator, delivered through an established international technology group based in Cape Town. This is business-critical, high-visibility systems work that will make a strong impact on your portfolio.
Duties & Responsibilities
Build and maintain Java services on a large-scale telecoms billing and operations platform
Write and optimise complex SQL across multiple database engines
Deploy and support containerised services on Linux
Integrate systems through message queues and enterprise integration patterns
Facilitate FAT and UAT sessions directly with customer teams
Deliver in a Scrum/Agile team working in Git
Desired Experience & Qualification
A relevant IT qualification (BSc Computer Science, BSc IT, or similar degree)
4 to 6 years of commercial Java development experience
Strong core Java expertise, including J2EE and Spring framework experience
Based in Cape Town
Immediate availability or a short notice period is advantageous
