A forward-thinking technology business is looking for an Intermediate Dev Tester to join its dynamic development team. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies, collaborate closely with developers, and play a critical part in ensuring software quality throughout the development lifecycle. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing test strategies, executing comprehensive testing processes, and developing automation frameworks across web applications and APIs. You will work within an Agile environment, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and help maintain high development standards through effective quality assurance practices. This position is well suited to a driven professional who enjoys problem-solving, takes ownership of their work, and is eager to grow their expertise in test automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases.

• Build and maintain automated testing solutions for APIs and web applications.

• Perform integration, regression, performance, and security testing.

• Validate authentication and authorisation processes across applications.

• Collaborate with developers to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.

• Analyse business and technical requirements to support effective test planning.

• Assist with effort estimation and quality assurance best practices.

• Conduct security-focused testing to identify potential vulnerabilities.

Job Experience and Skills Required

• Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field.

• 2 to 5 years of software testing experience with automation exposure.

• Experience testing RESTful APIs within a .NET environment.

• Hands-on experience with Angular testing frameworks.

• Exposure to Git and modern CI/CD practices.

• Strong SQL skills for data validation and testing activities.

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and automation frameworks.

• Knowledge of test design patterns and quality assurance principles.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative development team.

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Understanding of application security testing concepts.

• ISTQB Advanced certification.

• Experience with Flutter testing frameworks.

• Exposure to Docker or container environments.

• Experience testing multi-tenant platforms.

• Basic development or coding knowledge.
