Installation Electrician

Introduction

Duties & Responsibilities

⚡ Key Responsibilities

• Execute electrical preventative & corrective maintenance

• Perform advanced fault diagnostics

• Ensure plant reliability and system integrity

• Issue Certificates of Compliance

• Perform Standby duties within allowed time

• Provide technical recommendations and improvements

• Support planned outages & general overhauls

• Produce technical reports including root cause analysis

• Maintain safety and quality compliance

Desired Experience & Qualification

Must Have Experience In

• Maintenance of 400V & 6.6kV Switchgear and Boards, Transformers & DC Switchgear

• Maintenance of LV & MV cabling and motors

• Maintenance of Generators & Diesel Generators

• Maintenance of earthing systems & earth mats

• Maintenance of Hazardous area installations

• Maintenance of actuators and solenoids

• Coal plant & conveyor systems

• Advanced fault finding (with & without drawings)

• Modification/construction of installations

• Work Management documentation systems

Safety & Compliance

Must comply with

• Zero Harm policy,

• OHS Act,

• LOTO,

• risk assessments,

• PPE and

• quality standards.

Advantageous

• PSR Authorisation

• ORHVS

Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Valid Electrician Trade Test

• Registered Installation Electrician with Dept. of Labour

• Minimum technical N3

• 3+ years post-trade experience in industrial or power station environment

• Valid Code 8 Driver’s Licence

• Medically fit

• No criminal record or pending criminal cases
