An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a high-performing technology team supporting large-scale, highly available online platforms. This role is ideal for a proactive infrastructure professional who enjoys working in modern cloud-native environments and solving complex technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions.
- Proactively monitor, support, and optimise production and staging environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and platform issues.
- Participate in software releases and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and support teams.
- Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Analyse logs, metrics, and system performance data to identify root causes and implement preventative measures.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in Linux-based environments.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes, preferably within managed cloud platforms.
- Experience with one or more cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or OpenShift.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies including VMware or OpenStack.
- Strong networking skills, including troubleshooting and packet analysis.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, EFK, Zabbix, or similar.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
