This is not a remote working position and standard working hours from the office in Jet Park, Boksburg will apply.

The Position: We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled and technically driven Industrial Technician to join the team. The candidate must be technically competent, reliable and able to work independently as this will be a sole electrical position, therefore the successful candidate must be comfortable taking full ownership of the electrical function and working independently.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire control boxes

• Work with temperature controls

• Work with counters

• Install and fit drives

• Install, work with and troubleshoot PLCs

• Perform general electrical fault-finding and maintenance on industrial machinery

• Diagnose and resolve electrical and machinery-related breakdowns

• Maintain electrical equipment and ensure machinery remains operational

• Managing and maintaining electrical spares and stock within his department/position

• Ensuring required spare parts are consistently available

• Maintaining an appropriate spares inventory/control list

• Taking ownership of the electrical maintenance function

• Working independently, as there will be no other employee in the same electrical position

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements

• Completed Matric

• Minimum qualification: N4

• Minimum relevant experience of at least 5 years' working with industrial machinery

• Strong experience in general industrial machine maintenance

• Experience with drives and PLC’s

• Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment is essential

Package & Remuneration

The Package : We’re looking for a skilled Industrial Electrician to work from an office based in Jet Park, Boksburg. The pay range on offer is R30 000.00 to R35 000.00 (Negotiable) CtC Package Per Month + compensation for call out travel fees in accordance with SARS rate per km + Standby/call-out and overtime compensation will be handled in accordance with the applicable BCEA requirements and company arrangements.
