Indgro Outsourcing (Pty) Ltd T/a Indgro Multi Services Group™ is actively seeking a reliable, professional independent driver to handle evening transport shifts. The ideal candidate must be highly adaptable and fully comfortable navigating a variety of urban routes, including local townships, and surrounding residential areas. Some of these areas include Dunoon, Joe Slovo, Langa, Nyanga, Khayelitsha, and Delft. Applicants must reside in and around these areas.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely transport Assignees to and from designated Client sites, offices, and other approved locations.
- Ensure all trips are conducted in accordance with road traffic regulations and company safety requirements.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner when interacting with Assignees, Clients, and members of the public.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy, clean, and in good working condition at all times.
- Report any vehicle defects, accidents, incidents, or maintenance requirements immediately.
- Monitor fuel levels and ensure the vehicle is adequately fuelled for scheduled trips.
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance where required.
- Ensure Assignees are collected and dropped off at agreed locations and times.
- Assist with loading and unloading Assignee belongings or work-related equipment when necessary.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding Company operations, Assignee information, and Client details.
- Adhere to all Company Policies, Procedures, and Client site requirements.
- Immediately report delays, route changes, emergencies, or any circumstances that may impact transportation schedules.
- Ensure passengers comply with vehicle safety requirements, including the use of seatbelts.
- Maintain a valid driver's licence and any other permits or certifications required by law.
- Present a neat and professional appearance at all times.
- Be available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or public holidays when operationally required.
- Promote a safe and positive working environment through responsible driving practices.
- Respond appropriately to breakdowns, accidents, or emergency situations and follow established reporting procedures.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Licensing: Valid South African Driver’s License with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP / PDP) and a clean driving record.
- Must be a member of the SA Taxi Association .
- Vehicle Requirement: Must own and operate a reliable vehicle capable of safely accommodating and transporting between 5 to 7 people (e.g., a passenger SUV, small minibus, or multi-purpose vehicle).
- Route Comfortability: Must be entirely comfortable and confident driving into townships and various surrounding neighbourhoods during evening hours.
- Must be able to work Shift Hours: Night shift , approximately 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Availability: 7 days a week , including weekends.
- Proven driving experience with good knowledge of local routes and surrounding areas.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate reliability and accountability.
- Good understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Package & Remuneration
Salary to be discussed based on the vehicle and experience.
