An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and commercially driven Regional Product Manager to take responsibility for a specialised product portfolio across the India, Middle East and Africa (IMEA) region.
The successful candidate will take end-to-end ownership of portfolio sales and margin, regional portfolio strategy, product range development and go-to-market execution across Clutch, Suspension and Wheel End Solutions.
This is a regional role requiring a strong combination of product management, commercial strategy, market knowledge and execution capability.
Duties & Responsibilities
Regional Portfolio Management
- Take end-to-end responsibility for portfolio sales and margin across the IMEA region.
- Manage and develop the regional product portfolio in line with market and business requirements.
- Define, align and execute the regional portfolio strategy within the broader category framework.
- Identify opportunities for portfolio development and range extension.
- Act as the regional Product Owner, supporting regional front-line sales teams to ensure effective go-to-market execution.
- Proactively position products across both premium and budget market segments.
- Support operational and strategic planning processes for the regional portfolio.
Product & Range Development
- Develop and implement regional product range development plans, from initial business case through to project execution.
- Ensure product development initiatives support defined KPI targets derived from business and customer requirements.
- Complete and define HLBCs.
- Define and maintain the product pipeline.
- Work with regional and global stakeholders to ensure appropriate portfolio development.
- Support alignment with OE requirements, including RFQ and GDPEP processes.
Market & Customer Focus
- Develop a strong understanding of the relevant regional markets and customer requirements.
- Translate customer and market requirements into effective product strategies.
- Work closely with Sales to identify market opportunities and develop the appropriate product specifications.
- Position products effectively across the regional market.
- Support achievement of sales, margin and portfolio growth objectives.
Key Performance Indicators
Performance within this position will include
- Portfolio sales and margin.
- New range sales and margin.
- Completion of regional portfolio strategy, including definition of the portfolio pipeline.
- Completion of defined HLBCs.
- Definition and delivery of blue-box deliverables.
- OE alignment in RFQ and GDPEP activities.
Key Working Relationships
The Regional Product Manager will work closely with stakeholders across the regional and global organisation, including:
- Global Category Management
- Regional Product Management
- Regional Project Management
- Engineering
- Purchasing
- Regional Sales Teams
- Regional Operations
The role will also interface extensively with regional sales teams and customers across the IMEA region.
Desired Experience & Qualification
The successful candidate should demonstrate
- Previous experience in Product Management, including specification and development processes.
- Strong knowledge of relevant products, market footprint, structures and processes.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic and analytical plans against defined product strategy targets.
- Strong negotiation, influencing and relationship-management skills.
- Commercial understanding with the ability to take responsibility for sales and margin performance.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking ability.
- Ability to translate market and customer requirements into practical portfolio and product-development plans.
- Strong drive for results and execution.
