About Our Client

The client operates an established hydraulic and engineering workshop. They specialise in providing solutions for the hydraulic equipment industry, including hose manufacturing, assembly, installation, and repairs.

The Role: Hydraulic Hose Assembler

The purpose of this full-time role is to manufacture, assemble, install, and repair hydraulic hoses and fittings used across the hydraulic equipment industry. The position, working in a busy engineering workshop, focuses on delivering safe, accurate, and high-quality practical work to meet client specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Select, measure, cut, and crimp hydraulic hose assemblies to specifications using hose crimping equipment.

Identify, inspect, and install hydraulic fittings, ferrules, and adapters accurately.

Assist with installing, replacing, and diagnosing basic hydraulic hose and fitting issues on machinery.

Measure, cut, and bend steel tubing and brake tubing.

Support hydraulic technicians with cylinder repairs and general workshop duties.

Maintain accurate records, keep the assembly area organized, and follow workshop safety procedures.

Provide professional and helpful service to customers when required.

Desired Experience & Qualification

About You

Previous experience in hydraulic hose assembly or hydraulic fitting.

Good knowledge of hydraulic hoses, fittings, adapters, and experience operating a hydraulic hose crimping machine.

Ability to identify different hose sizes, fitting types, and read basic technical measurements.

Good practical, mechanical ability and strong attention to detail.

Reliable, safety-conscious, physically fit, and able to work well in a team or independently under pressure.

A valid driver's licence is an advantage.

Experience with hydraulic equipment used in mobile cranes, earthmoving, mining, trucks, heavy vehicles, or hydraulic power systems is advantageous.
