As the HVAC Project Engineer, you’ll be the bridge between a conceptual design and a functional, high-efficiency reality. You will oversee the lifecycle of mechanical projects, ensuring that our systems don’t just meet code—they set the standard for performance.
Responsibility
Duties: • Design & Development: Translate client needs into technical specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, or specialized load calculation software. • Project Lifecycle Management: From initial submittals to the final "air balance" walkthrough, you’ll own the technical integrity of the project. • Vendor & Contractor Liaison: Manage relationships with equipment manufacturers and on-site subcontractors to ensure everything arrives on time and fits where it's supposed to. • Troubleshooting: When a system isn’t performing as modeled, you’re the lead detective on the case, identifying bottlenecks and implementing fixes. • Budget & Compliance: Keep projects within financial guardrails while ensuring every nut, bolt, and damper complies with local codes and LEED standards.
Qualifications Grade 12 or equivalent National Diploma (Mechanical / Electrical Engineering) EIT or PE license will be adv Minimum 3+ years experience in mechanical construction or MEP consulting. You should know the difference between a VAV and a VRF Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and load calculation software (like HAP or TRACE 700)
