- The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for supporting and executing key HR functions across Pedro's operations. This role serves as a trusted partner to management and employees, ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives that promote employee engagement, compliance, performance, and organizational growth.
- The HR Generalist will provide end-to-end HR support across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compliance, payroll coordination, and HR administration.
Required Education
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations, or related field.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience within a Human Resources environment , with exposure to multiple HR disciplines.
- Experience supporting managers and employees across operational environments.
- Exposure to labour relations processes, including investigations, counselling, disciplinary hearings, grievances, and incapacity management, will be advantageous.
- Experience maintaining employee records, HR systems, and ensuring compliance with company policies and labour legislation.
- Experience within a multi-site environment such as quick-service restaurants QSR
- Candidates who have successfully demonstrated the ability to operate independently, influence stakeholders, and take ownership of a broad range of HR responsibilities will be favourably considered, even if they have not previously held the title of Human Resource Generalist.
- Internal candidates who have consistently delivered strong performance in HR Officer or equivalent roles and who are looking to progress into a broader HR Generalist position are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge
- Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation.
- Understanding of recruitment best practices.
- Knowledge of performance management systems and employee development processes.
- Familiarity with payroll systems.
