Job Description

  • Tekkie Town, a leading division of Pepkor Trading Pty Ltd, is on the hunt for a driven, detail-oriented and passionate Human Resource Administrator to join the team. The HR Administrator is responsible for providing a holistic HR administrative service to Stores, Operational Teams and Regional HR. Ensuring an effective and efficient service is rendered to all stakeholders in support of HR Strategies

Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Human Resources or related field

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Proven 2 to 3 years experience as an HR Administrator or in a similar HR support role.
  • Experience working in a retail HR environment is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and employment legislation.
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems ATS is preferred.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and HR software systems e.g. Sage.
  • A positive, proactive attitude with a focus on providing exceptional support

Key Responsibilities

  • Advertising positions, screening responses, arranging interviews and assessments, reference checking, and any additional requirements with regards to the recruitment process.
  • Completing all required recruitment administration and documentation and responding to and documenting unsuccessful applications.
  • Generating, analyzing and compiling relevant HR information and weekly and monthly reports in order to further our HR objectives.
  • Responsible for compiling, processing and capturing all payroll documentation as required for payroll submissions.
  • Organize and maintain electronic payroll files
  • Handing store queries and resolving accordingly
  • Administration related to all Training and Development activities
  • Assisting with counselling bookings for employees
  • Monthly reporting and any ad hoc request
  • Provide documents to Stores for Department of Labour Inspections
  • Provide necessary paperwork and process / capture all Injury of duty reported
  • Assist with the disciplinary hearing process i.e., compile supporting documents
  • Assist in the Time & Attendance systems for all new engagements and terminations on a monthly basis Run weekly/bi-weekly variance reports and liaise with stores regarding the variances
  • Ensure all HR projects are completed
