Are you a passionate Human Capital professional who thrives on creating exceptional employee experiences, building strong workplace cultures and driving people-focused initiatives?
We are looking for an experienced Human Capital Manager to join a dynamic South African organisation and take ownership of a broad generalist portfolio across its local offices.
THE ROLE
This is a hands-on, varied Human Capital role for someone who is highly organised, proactive, self-motivated and emotionally intelligent.
You will play a key role in supporting employees and managers while driving initiatives across employee relations, culture, wellbeing, compliance, recruitment, learning and development, engagement and office operations .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Culture & Communication

 
 • Champion company culture and values. 
 • Develop and distribute employee communications. 
 • Support a positive employee experience. 

Employee & Industrial Relations

 
 • Advise and support management on employee relations matters. 
 • Manage counselling, disciplinary, incapacity and grievance processes. 
 • Support conflict resolution and performance management. 
 • Conduct investigations and prepare relevant documentation. 
 • Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation. 

Employment Equity & Compliance

 
 • Coordinate Employment Equity processes and forums. 
 • Prepare statutory reporting. 
 • Monitor work permit requirements. 
 • Conduct regular compliance audits. 
 • Support workplace Health & Safety initiatives, training and reporting. 

Recruitment & Onboarding

 
 • Coordinate recruitment administration and onboarding. 
 • Ensure systems, access, equipment and documentation are ready for new employees. 
 • Coordinate and facilitate employee induction programmes. 

Learning & Development

 
 • Coordinate cross-training initiatives. 
 • Support Human Capital policy training. 
 • Coordinate culture and development programmes. 
 • Monitor and report on performance appraisal outputs. 

Employee Engagement & Recognition

 
 • Drive employee recognition programmes and celebrations. 
 • Coordinate staff engagement initiatives and internal events. 
 • Support annual and regional employee functions. 

Employee Wellbeing & Office Operations

 
 • Coordinate employee wellbeing initiatives. 
 • Manage event logistics, suppliers, communications and budgets. 
 • Support office facilities and employee requirements. 
 • Liaise with building management and service providers. 

Human Capital Administration

 
 • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual Human Capital reports. 
 • Manage Human Capital data and reporting. 
 • Develop presentations and employee communications. 
 • Monitor budgets and support cost-effective decision-making. 
 • Manage internship programmes in collaboration with the wider Human Capital team.

Requirements

 
 • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Human Capital Management, Business Administration or a related field is advantageous. 
 • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Human Capital / HR Generalist role . 
 • Strong Employee Relations and Industrial Relations experience. 
 • Good knowledge of South African labour legislation . 
 • Experience across recruitment, learning & development and employee engagement. 
 • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams) . 
 • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
