- IVANPLATS Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane.
- This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this "mine of the future". Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills :
- Grade 12/ Matric Certificate
- National Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management, Human Resource Development, Industrial Psychology or related field.
- A postgraduate qualification in Human Resources, Talent Management or Leadership Development will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of performance management, competency frameworks and employee development practices.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Skills Development Act, Employment Equity Act, BBBEE requirements and relevant SETA requirements.
- Knowledge of the mining industry and mining skills development environment will be advantageous.
- Good knowledge and understanding of leadership development and succession planning principles.
- Good report-writing and presentation skills.
- Strong planning, coordination and organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Driver's licence
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years' relevant experience in Human Resources Development, Talent Management, Learning and Development or Organisational Development.
- Experience in coordinating Talent management and Succession planning programmes.
- Experience in HR information systems and learning management systems will be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- Coordinate the implementation of the Company's Talent Management Strategy and Framework.
- Support talent identification, assessment and development of identified potential employees.
- Coordinate and maintain succession planning for critical positions and identified successors.
- Facilitate talent reviews and support managers with employee development planning.
- Coordinate leadership development, mentoring, coaching and employee development programmes.
- Monitor and track Individual Development Plans IDPs and employee development progress.
- Support the integration of talent management, performance management and career development processes.
- Maintain accurate talent and succession management records, databases and employee profiles.
- Prepare talent management reports, dashboards and presentations for management.
- Monitor programme participation, effectiveness and outcomes and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate with line managers, employees, training providers and other stakeholders on talent development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Company policies, employment equity, skills development and governance requirements.
- Provide administrative and coordination support to relevant Talent Management and Succession Planning council/ committees.
