We are looking for a strong, hands-on HR Operations Assistant to manage the day-to-day HR function within a busy construction environment. This role requires someone who is confident dealing with employees at all levels, has a strong understanding of HR and disciplinary processes, and is comfortable handling sensitive matters firmly and professionally. Key Responsibilities

Manage the full day-to-day HR function

Prepare and issue warnings and disciplinary documentation

Manage disciplinary processes and ensure correct procedures are followed

Handle CCMA matters, including preparing documentation and case files

Assist with preparation for CCMA conciliations and arbitrations

Ensure company HR policies and procedures are consistently adhered to

Provide guidance to management and employees on HR-related matters

Maintain accurate and confidential employee records

Manage attendance, leave and general employee administration

Identify and address HR issues proactively

Ensure compliance with relevant labour legislation and company policies

Requirements

Previous experience in a hands-on HR Administration role

Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR practices

Experience dealing with disciplinary processes and CCMA matters

Ability to prepare thoroughly for CCMA cases and hearings

Strong administrative and organisational skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Confident in dealing with employees and management

Ability to remain calm, professional and firm when handling difficult situations

Strong computer literacy
