Job Title: HR OFFICER (Roodepoort and Centurion)– WAREHOUSE & TRANSPORT Start Date: 2026-08-19 - 2026-09-18 Vacancy Type: Permanent JHB000523 Sectors: Human Resources (HR) & Recruitment Location: Gauteng , Roodepoort Salary: Brief: HR OFFICER (Roodepoort and Centurion)– WAREHOUSE & TRANSPORT Job Purpose The successful candidate will provide the full spectrum of on-site Human Resources support to the Warehouse and Transport operations. This is a hands-on HR Generalist position covering HR Administration, Recruitment & Selection, Payroll Administration, Training & Development, Performance Management, Talent Management and Employee/Industrial Relations . A particularly important part of this position is Industrial Relations , including disciplinary matters and representation at the CCMA and NBCRFLI . Detail: MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS Please carefully review the requirements below before confirming your interest: Minimum B Degree or National Diploma in Human Resources Management or Industrial Psychology Minimum 5–7 years' HR experience covering the full HR function Experience gained within a transport, logistics, warehousing, distribution or similar operational environment Proven, hands-on Industrial / Employee Relations experience Experience dealing with disciplinary hearings, grievances, appeals and corrective action Practical experience with CCMA matters and representation NBCRFLI experience/representation is highly important for this position Sound practical knowledge of South African labour legislation, particularly the Labour Relations Act (LRA) Experience with Recruitment & Selection Experience with HR and Payroll Administration Experience with Performance Management, Training & Development and Talent Management Valid, unendorsed Code B driver's licence Intermediate computer literacy, including MS Office SYSTEMS EXPERIENCE Experience with the following would be highly advantageous: SAGE 300 People / SAGE People Management HRIS systems ReMeasure Job Grading LexisNexis background verification/reference checks Graylink E-Recruitment Performance Management systems KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Recruitment & Selection Advertising vacancies and screening applicants Preparing candidate longlists Coordinating interviews Making recommendations to management Conducting criminal, ID, qualification and reference checks Coordinating starter packs and onboarding Payroll & HR Administration Creating new roles and employees on SAGE Ensuring employee documentation is correctly captured and uploaded Meeting monthly payroll deadlines Maintaining employee records and personnel files Assisting with Employment Equity requirements Reviewing exit interview information Participating in Employment Equity and Training Committees Reviewing allocated HR policies Benefits Administration Administration of retirement fund and medical aid documentation Liaising with payroll and maintaining the necessary records Industrial / Employee Relations Advising management and employees on IR matters Assisting with corrective action and disciplinary processes Attending disciplinary, appeal and grievance hearings Advising management regarding appropriate disciplinary charges Ensuring compliance with company IR policies Keeping abreast of labour legislation and relevant case law Representing the company at the CCMA and/or NBCRFLI for mediation and arbitration matters Assisting with labour matters relating to Section 189 and Section 197 Reporting Monthly reporting on new appointments, terminations, promotions and vacancies Monitoring labour broker appointments and associated compliance/risk show more...
