- NACOSA is looking for a HR Intern to join our team as part of the SEF Project. The successful candidate will provide administrative and operational support to the HR team while gaining exposure to a broad range of HR functions in a professional working environment.
The duties and responsibilities of the Human Resources HR Intern will include, but not limited to:
- Providing day-to-day administrative and operational support to the HR team.
- Assisting with recruitment and selection processes, including administrative coordination and documentation.
- Supporting employee onboarding and induction activities.
- Maintaining and updating employee records, HR systems and related documentation.
- Assisting with HR reporting, data capturing, filing and record-keeping.
- Supporting the implementation of HR policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
- Assisting the HR team in ensuring compliance with applicable HR policies and labour legislation.
- Providing administrative support in employee relations IR matters, including the investigation, documentation and coordination of disciplinary processes, under the guidance of the HR team.
- Assisting with HR projects, initiatives and general HR-related activities.
- Providing support with employee queries and escalating matters to the relevant HR team member where appropriate.
- Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring that employee information and HR records are handled professionally and securely.
- Promoting and embodying NACOSA's values in all work performed.
Requirements
- A National Senior Certificate Matric / Grade 12 is required.
- Relevant Diploma N6 Certificate from a recognised TVET College
- Basic understanding of labour legislation e.g., BCEA, EEA, OHSA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Familiarity with a finance or payroll system advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Attention to detail and high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Previous exposure to an HR environment and Kwantu system training/ experience is advantageous.
