Are you a motivated HR graduate looking to kickstart your career in Human Resources? We are offering an exciting 12-month HR Internship opportunity to join our energetic team. In this entry-level role, you will gain valuable hands-on experience over the course of a year by supporting a wide range of HR functions and assisting with the smooth day-to-day operations of the department. Duties & Responsibilities
Provide general administrative assistance to the HR team.
Assist with maintaining accurate, up-to-date employee records and filing systems.
Help prepare onboarding and offboarding materials, including starter packs, induction schedules, and exit paperwork.
Support recruitment activities by scheduling interviews, screening candidate CVs, and conducting basic reference checks.
Collate new starter documents to ensure all onboarding packs are complete.
Assist with compiling standard HR documents, such as employment confirmation letters.
Act as a friendly initial point of contact for standard employee queries, escalating complex issues to Management.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive employee and business data.
Support Employment Equity (EE) administration by filing meeting minutes, updating records, and organising EE documentation.
Assist with ad-hoc HR administrative projects and audit preparation throughout the 12-month duration.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Education: Grade 12 / Matric; completed or currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
Experience: No prior formal HR experience required, though previous administrative exposure or campus involvement is a plus.
Computer Skills: Basic to intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Knowledge & Attributes: Basic foundational understanding of South African labour legislation; eager to learn, strong attention to detail, and good communication skills.
Availability: Must be available to commit to a full-time, 12-month contract program.
